About the role
The Supervisory Museum Specialist oversees a portion of the collections information management services and participates with the Assistant Director in establishing long- and short-term goals, hiring, space management and budget. In this position, you will: Supervise five or more reports. Participate in establishing long- and short-term goals, hiring, space management and budget. Oversee contractors. Develop position descriptions. Set and adjust priorities, plans, schedules, distributes, and reviews staff work product. Review and approve leave, travel, and training requests. Initiate personnel actions. Perform contracting officer's representative (COTR) functions. Ensure accurate and consistent cataloging of a wide variety of artifacts and digital materials according to standards and procedures. Develop, enhance, and implement standards and procedures for cataloging and digital record creation and oversees access to, permissions for, and administration of the database for the museum's
