Lead Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard)

Distributes and balances workload in accordance with established directives. Ensures timely accomplishment of work assignments and other duties assigned. Maintains awareness of status and progress and makes day-to-day adjustments based on established priorities. Instructs lower graded lifeguards/swim instructors in specific tasks, procedures, and techniques, makes available written instructions, material, and supplies. Gives on-the-job training and certification to new employees. Checks on work in progress and reviews completed work to see that supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met. Attempts to resolve informal complaints and refers others to supervisor. Reports to supervisor on employee performance, progress, and training needs and on disciplinary problems.
