About the role
Plan, manage, and direct activities relating to adjudication programs and support of Immigration, Nonimmigrant, and Citizenship Services. Review and analyze proposed legislation as to its possible effect on the adjudications program and recommend changes where appropriate. Liaison with federal agencies and furnish information, guidance and assistance, and prepare briefing papers for high level officials. Oversee the implementation of program goals, objectives, and priorities established by statues, executive orders and agency leadership. Draft and oversee the publication of regulations, field manuals, and other documents relating to immigrant, nonimmigrant, and U.S. citizenship programs. Provide expert advice, guidance, and interpretation on policy matters relating to immigration adjudication programs, and devise and implement changes where needed.
