Accountant

If selected at the GS-11 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity. Responsible for the timely completion of monthly general ledger account analysis and journal voucher processing and quarterly financial statement analysis. Monitors and reports on various financial metrics. Identifies critical accounting issues and develops recommendations for correctives actions, and process improvement. Provides professional accounting advice and assistance to managers, supervisors, and other internal and external stakeholders. Provides audit support, including financial information in response to audit requests.
