Chief Direct Investment Division

The Chief, Direct Investment Division will be responsible for: Producing the official U.S. statistics on foreign direct investment and multinational enterprises. Directing current and developmental work on the measurement of foreign direct investment, emphasizing improvements in the review and analysis of financial and operating data of multinational companies and direct investment transactions and positions, efficiency of data collection, database management, and estimation, along with survey coverage and data quality. Monitoring major economic developments and problems concerning all aspects of foreign direct investment and the characteristics of entities engaged in such investment. Overseeing the review and analysis of the financial and operating data reported by U.S. businesses to deliver high quality statistics that are used for policy-making and business purposes.
