About the role
The duties and responsibilities for a Secretary (Office Automation), GS-0986-09 generally include, but are not limited to the following: Serving as the Executive Assistant to both the United States Attorney (USA) and the First Assistant United States Attorney (FAUSA) providing a wide variety of technical and administrative support services. Managing and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the immediate office of the USA and FAUSA; Screening telephone calls and visitors desiring to speak with the USA and FAUSA; Arranging conferences and meetings for the USA and FAUSA; Reviewing all outgoing correspondence prepared for the USA and FAUSA's signature, e.g., action documents, case files, legal documents, and reports; Exercising control over the USA and FAUSA's calendar for all appointments, meetings, engagements, and conferences; Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
