About the role
This is a developmental position performing a wide range of complex mathematical and statistical analyses to develop data-driven insights to inform strategic and operational decisions. As a Data Scientist, you will: Assess and execute specific data engineering, modeling, and analysis activities. Utilize data from various sources and information systems to answer mission questions. Use R, Python, SQL, or other languages for various applications, e.g., spreadsheets, presentation graphics, project management, operations research, linear programming, statistical quality control, econometric and time series analysis and mathematical, engineering and statistical applications. Assist with constructing data pipelines using complex tools and techniques to handle data at scale. Recommend data collection, integration, and retention requirements, and make recommendations for improvements to current data operations based on knowledge of best practices.
