About the role
The duties of this position involve touching and patting down the bodies of airline passengers. Due to privacy interests and the sensitive nature of those duties, the TSA requires a same-gender pat down of passengers. Accordingly, TSA must ensure that it employs a certain ratio of male and female LTSO's to perform passenger screening. This vacancy is seeking a Female candidate to maintain required ratio. This Lead Transportation Security Officer position is located at Paine Field Airport (PAE), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO), you will be responsible for leading at least three full-performance level Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and, as assigned, trainee and apprentice level TSOs. As an LTSO, you will identify, distribute, and balance workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and skill level.
