About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for independently performing assignments requiring the application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques, and guidelines in the areas of Retirement, Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), Leave Programs, Work Schedule Programs, Federal Life and Health Insurance benefits, Payroll Processing, Processing Form 50s and other benefits applicable to the USPS OIG employees. Assignments are of intermediate to mastery difficulty, depending on the GS equivalent level, and require interpretation and adaptation of guidelines to achieve results. Candidates will be evaluated on the skills that they possess that are directly related to the duties of the position and the experience, education and training that indicate the applicant's ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.
