Asphalt Plant Operator

*Summary:* The Asphalt Plant Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient start and operation of a hot-mix Asphalt Plant. S/he will be responsible for manufacturing various asphalt products according to mix design and customer jobsite specifications. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* * Responsible for mixing ingredients to produce asphalt paving materials. * Operating duties include temperature control, ingredient control, and customer truck loading. * Operate controls to batch material. * Observe operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications. * Responsible for equipment maintenance; perform pre- and post- shift inspections documenting items in need of service or repair, diagnosing problems, and performing minor mechanical repair. * Control inventory of materials. * Read and/or write delivery tickets to determine mix design called for each load. * Perform calculations for differing load sizes. * Load hot mix asphalt into haul trucks. * R
