About the role
As a Supervisory Emergency Transportation Specialist, you will: Is responsible for coordinating, planning, preparedness, operations, exercises, training, and outreach activities related to disaster response and recovery. Create presentations and provides technical guidance on transportation emergency processes and procedures and serve as the Departmental representative on boards and committees as directed. Supervise numerous staff and other DOT collateral duty personnel. Staff and is called upon to work operational shifts of the Emergency Support Function -Transportation (ESF-1) at the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) National Response Coordination Center (NRCC) and DOT Transportation Operations Center (TOC). Receive classified materials from across the Government, reviews as appropriate for safety/security impacts and ensures proper handling, distribution, and storage of classified materials.
