Commissary Management Specialist (Produce Intern)

The incumbent will perform a variety of instructional assignments and tasks designed to develop knowledge of and skill in produce department operations. Example of work assignments include, but are not limited to: Participates in stocking produce department merchandise learning to identify and distinguish among all types of fruits and vegetable products. Learn display methods, storage locations and temperature requirements, rotation processes, and restocking procedures. Participates in maintaining security, verifying accuracy of receiving documents, visually inspects merchandise, take temperature of delivery truck advice supervisor if there is a problem. Participates in maintaining adequate quantities, quality and wholesomeness, proper pricing and signage, and availability of commissary product.
