About the role
As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will: Provide advice and leadership in implementing and developing DOT budgetary policies, processes, and instructions and evaluates the process for effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Provides expert guidance to the Director and the Departmental budget and financial management community on budget execution in support of the OMB and Congressional submission and other budget formulation materials. Set Departmental standards for Operating Administrations for carrying out budget execution work. Provide Operating Administrations assistance serving as a resource for the entire Department on technical budgeting matters. Coordinates across functional or programmatic areas in identifying and resolving technical budget issues. Makes recommendations, which often lead to management directed changes in resource levels, content, emphasis, or time phasing of projects or programs.
