About the role

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is the primary information technology advisor for the Supreme Court of the United States and leads the development and implementation of the Court's information technology strategies and operations. The incumbent will develop a thorough understanding of the Court's business operations and information technology systems in order to align its technology infrastructure with organizational needs. The incumbent must have expertise in strategic IT planning, IT systems and data security, enterprise architecture, data governance, budgeting, personnel management, and IT governance, and must be prepared to develop and implement a vision for the Court's information technology future. The incumbent is the primary liaison between the Office of Information Technology and Chambers and Court leaders, and in that role must be able to communicate effectively and translate complex technical concepts to other senior leaders to support overall management of the Court.
