Electrical Engineer

Serves as a principal designer in the preparation of specifications to meet project needs concerning electrical projects. Obtains information from jobsites for comparing interfaces with other equipment. Reviews contractor's submitted work for technical compliance with specification requirements Coordinates with related work in other organizational units or outside agencies. Participates in work site inspections to ascertain conditions, identify problems related to assigned work, and establish workable solutions. Reviews designs and cost estimates related to regional programs or facilities prepared by consultants or other agencies for acceptability, conformance to appropriate standards, policies, legal requirements, and cost effectiveness. Prepares schedules for design processes and estimates schedules for the project construction phase. Performs cost estimates for all project phases to include: feasibility, concept, design, procurement, and construction.
