About the role
As Archeologist, GS-0193, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to: Identifies and evaluates historic properties for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places. Prepare organized and comprehensive written reports on all surveyed lands. Manages artifact and collection indexing and conducts laboratory analysis of collected material. Assists in the identification, evaluation, and recording of historic, cultural, sacred and archaeological sites. Conduct research in available databases, literature, and records. Actively participate in digitization of records while protecting sensitive information. Assists in the preparation of documents, authoritatively explaining and quantifying significance of potential impacts on cultural resources.
