About the role
The successful candidate is primarily responsible for managing the agency's travel card program, including management of travel cards accounts. The candidate will also be responsible for processing disbursements to vendors, reimbursements to employees, reconciling monthly accounts and assisting with other accounting team functions. The candidate with maintain accounting records and reports and will ensure reports are in compliance with generally accepted accounting practices, and USPS and USPS OIG accounting practices and policies. The incumbent will correspond/communicate with external and internal customers on a routine basis. Candidates will be evaluated on the skills that they possess that are directly related to the duties of the position and the experience, education and training that indicate the applicant's ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.
