About the role
You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and information resource for accession physical standards and the waiver review process. You will review medical documentation submitted for waivers of accession physical standards in accordance with the policy guidelines. You will Record brief, coherent notes in the currently used entry level waiver document management system pertained to the applicant’s case. You will review, edit and/or approve correspondence prepared by primary reviewers, and draft correspondence regarding waiver recommendations. You will coordinate and discuss waiver request cases with a variety of authorized military and civilian medical professionals. You will request additional medical information, records, evaluations, consultations, studies and reports, etc., required to make a waiver recommendation based on the available medical information.
