About the role
As a Human Resources Assistant (Processing Unit), at the full performance level you will perform the following duties: Processes Personnel Actions in the ICE Electronic System for Personnel. In compliance with DHS, Office of Personnel Management, and National Finance Center (NFC) rules and procedures, processes recruitments, Career Ladder Promotions, Changes to Lower Grades, Separations, Retirements, Details, Temporary Promotions (TPRO), Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP), Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime (AUO), Reassignments, Removals, Suspensions, Awards, Cash Awards, Time Off Awards, Quality Step Increase, etc. Processes payroll actions, such as Federal and States taxes, retention pay, direct deposit. Assists with onboarding processing benefit documents, Federal Employee's Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB), Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), and beneficiary forms; certifies and reviews, benefits forms for proper coding, signatures, and effec
