Market and Pricing Analyst (Operations Research Analyst)

As a Operations Research Analyst, you will: Independently conduct or lead research into energy market fundamentals and policy initiatives in the Pacific Northwest, West Coast, and nationally to address economic, strategy and policy questions. Lead the development of experimental approaches to determining total power portfolio benefit/costs based on projected operational and market strategies. This includes the economic evaluation of the impacts from different power system operations, different levels and types of power sales or purchases, and different levels and types of additional balancing capacity need to cost effectively support the integration of variable generation resources. Lead analysis required to implement complex contracts or support BPA policy decisions (i.e. Pacific NW Coordination Agreement, Non-treaty Storage, Contracts with optionality, etc.) Serve as a subject matter expert on teams responsible for the development and production of analytical studies.
