General Engineer

The duties and responsibilities for a General Engineer, GS-0801-13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: * Directs and manages whole projects, elements or phases of projects. * Provides engineering analysis for special projects, future projects, and advanced planning of new systems. * Participates in preliminary and critical design reviews. * Performs planning and design work for substantial multi-phase construction, renovation and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities, including utility systems. * Provides recommendation and guidance to management and various high-level clients on the development of comprehensive planning and acquisition of new major departmental buildings or complexes.
