About the role
As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge (ASAC)), you will be responsible for a wide range of complex duties. Major duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide technical direction and guidance in the planning, coordination, and development of highly complex and sensitive investigations involving suspected fraud, waste, and mismanagement in programs and operations of the Department. Make recommendations on investigative programs, goals, and objectives, and/or changes in functions. Develop and maintain liaison with external organizations that can provide information, assistance, and investigative continuity on matters of mutual interest. Provide advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on administrative matters and on-the-job training. Find ways to improve production or increase quality of work directed.
