About the role
You will manage employees across all trades and labor occupations and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in aviation maintenance and aviation maintenance management. You will use your expert knowledge of aviation maintenance principles, concepts, regulations, and maintenance management. You will plan and organize work, supervise staff, and lead projects involving multiple funding sources, staffing needs, and long-term production planning. You will use your knowledge of production requirements from the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and understand how Fleet Readiness Centers (FRC) help meet those needs. You will use your consultative skills to develop and implement new ideas, principles, and methods in aviation maintenance management.
