About the role
The work involves the full range of aircraft propulsion systems, propellers, and APU activities relative to civil industry and military when appropriate. Serves as the AED technical expert with responsibility for the planning, development, standardization, evaluation and effectiveness of assigned AED programs nationwide. The incumbent must be highly qualified and competent in the various segments of aircraft maintenance as well as demonstrate a thorough and current knowledge of the techniques and responsibilities necessary to attain airworthiness. The incumbent applies a sound working knowledge of the regulations, policies, procedures, and the technical and administrative factors affecting the scope of aircraft maintenance activities of Flight Standards.
