About the role
You will determine weekly physical progress of ship overhaul and repair by developing and applying weighted values for all work specification items. You will track and analyze completion status, incorporating job order modifications and contractor progress reports. You will collect, review, and monitor schedules, manning estimates, plans, drawings, condition reports, and quality deficiency records. You will develop production schedules using appropriate techniques (e.g., Gantt charts, PERT/CPM). You will serve as the principal point of contact for ship repair and overhaul issues requiring coordination among NHHC, contractors, Navy oversight offices, and USS Constitution command staff. You will provides daily oversight, workload prioritization, performance management, mentoring, and training. You will advise on historically accurate ship restoration and rigging methods, ensuring compliance with preservation standards and naval heritage policies.
