Pharmacist (Pharmacy Supervisor) - Inventory Manager

Utilizes strict accounting practices to maintain an accurate budget. Presents to upper management on a routine basis: expenditure reports, cost analysis, inventory usage, budget forecast, drug shortages, drug recall and new product cost impact. Supervises procurement staff and oversees day to day procurement operations to maintain sufficient inventory for the needs of the Medical Center, not exceeding budget allowance. Responsible for annual wall to wall inventory and monitoring any VISN inventory velocity reports. Serves as the approving official (AO) for all government purchase card holders in the Pharmacy Service. Approves reconciled charges and accompanying online bank approvals in time intervals specified by VHA accounting directives. Assists in planning and implementing of Pharmacy quality assurance activities.
