About the role
Duties include but are not limited to the following: The AO acts as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for assigned contracts. Prepares contracting packages and schedules, monitors, and reviews all outside contracted services to insure appropriate, high quality workmanship in a time frame that meets clinical needs. Performs evaluations on assigned contracts and reports them to appropriate contracting individuals, Environment of Care committee as well as the Associate Medical Center Director. Develops the need for and maintains an awareness of available resources and makes recommendations to the Chief of Biomedical Engineering Service regarding the distribution or redistribution of these resources. AO serves as budget and financial advisor for the Chief of Biomedical Engineering Service and his staff.
