NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTER (Title 32)

This position is located in the Nondestructive inspection section of an Air National Guard aircraft Maintenance Group, Maintenance Squadron, Fabrication Flight. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. The primary purpose of this position is to inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods and performs fluid analysis. MAJOR DUTIES: Determines test method, and prepares fluids and parts for nondestructive inspection. Interprets nondestructive inspection test results, and provides information about defects to repair center. Performs Oil Spectrometry process and analyzes wear metal content on engine lubricating oil and other fluids, and recommends corrective action. Establishes radiation areas for radiographic operations. Computes and monitors personal exposure areas for radiographic operatio
