About the role
The Building Services Worker performs various duties in the zone to support overall facility operations; work includes performing heavy manual tasks and maintaining facility cleanliness. In this position, you will: Perform various building cleaning tasks using appropriate cleaning methods, chemical handling procedures, and proper equipment operation and maintenance. Clean offices, exhibit space, restrooms, corridors, storage rooms, stairways, or any area within the confines of the buildings(s) using brooms, mops, buckets, heavy-duty vacuums, buffers, and scrubbers. Clean glass and plexiglass surfaces as directed; maintain stock of cleaning materials and equipment required to complete assignments and notifies their supervisor or leader when supply replenishment or cleaning equipment requires repair and replacement. Assist with labor tasks as required, including moving, arranging, and lifting heavy objects, including building materials, furniture, and collections.
