About the role
Duties may include but are not limited to: Manages and controls as assigned class of expendable material for a CMOP location. Recognized as an authority on expendable (EX) and non-expendable (NX) commodity management and serves as a point of contact to all service lines. Acts as a point of contact for coordination of commodity support and resolution supply problems across departments. Makes decisions and commitments for the CMOP on pharmaceutical, medical/surgical, and other supplies. Conducts quantitative analysis of historical usage patterns for opportunities for potential cost savings, efficiencies, and process improvements. Utilizes performance measures to conduct forecasting and quantitative analysis. Contributes to the development of standard operating procedures. Contributes to short, mid, and long term advanced planning for expendable items. Analyzes data to include demand history, program requirements, operations, procurement lead-time, current stock levels, and other factors
