About the role
Conduct research of statutory, regulatory, court and administrative precedents, and governing policy using available legal research tools. Integrate administrative law with related health care legal issues to review actions, draft pleadings and memorandums and to provide recommendations on legal sufficiency. Draft legal opinions and responses for Director signature on legal issues involving healthcare law, administrative law and government ethics. Conduct discussions, interviews, etc., with prospective witnesses and other agency officials pertinent to various legal matters and appropriate resolution. Assist Network and medical treatment facilities (MTF) Attorneys, legal advisors and MTF representatives with appeals, hearing requests, complaints, and peer review hearings. Administer the ethics program under the guidance and supervision of the Network Attorney and ethics officials.
