About the role
As a Generation Technology Electrical Engineer, you will: Serve as a consultant and advisor on integrating and controlling large-scale new generation technologies into BPA's overall energy transmission system and implementing changes to the overall balancing reserves. Provide long-range planning and policy development for advanced control system applications. Develop criteria, processes, rules and practices for integrating and controlling large-scale new generation technologies and dynamic movement of power into BPA's overall energy transmission system. Review current and proposed criteria applicable to generation and other advanced control systems, analyze control area performance, and design and implement improvements and corrections to meet regulatory and BPA requirements. Provide substantive input to regional and national operating committees to help build markets and rules controlling new generation technologies.
