About the role
Lead the development and implementation of Office of Workforce Investment (OWI)'s mission-aligned strategies; oversee front office operations (budget, human resources, administration); monitor performance, identify solutions, and drive program enhancements. Direct resource planning and allocation, relate expenditures to outcomes, and foster innovation and cost-effective operations across OWI. Interpret federal legislative requirements for state workforce development programs and American Job Center (AJC) operations; formulate and draft regulations to implement new initiatives and improve existing rules, including stakeholder consultation. Recommend national policies and legislative proposals; provide technical assistance to Congress and policymakers in coordination with Department leadership and the Office of the Solicitor.
