JOB OVERVIEW As a Mechanical CAD Drafter, you’ll work closely with mechanical engineers and naval architects to turn conceptual designs into highly detailed, production-ready drawings. You'll own the creation and maintenance of mechanical part and assembly drawings for complex systems, including hull structures, mechanical enclosures, mounting systems, propulsion components, and internal mechanical assemblies. RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop detailed 3D models and 2D mechanical drawings in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) - Create fabrication-ready technical drawings, including GD&T, tolerances, and material specifications - Support design of watertight enclosures, mechanical brackets, payload mounts, and system integration layouts - Work with engineering to iterate designs base
