About the role
Major Duties: Assists with the development, preparation, and revision of the unit budget, and in the preparation of instructions to managers regarding funding estimates and budget planning for the coming fiscal year. Drafts procedural guidance concerning the format for submission of annual estimates of funding needs. Provides required data and assistance to program managers and unit staff in developing budget and program planning summaries. Assists with execution of the current year budget for the unit, including analysis of needs, recommendation for modifications, and making allotments. Checks the accuracy and adequacy of budget justification data submitted in support of budget estimates or requests for allotments by comparison with source documents (e.g., acquisition records, historical financial data, payroll reports, and fixed cost data).
