About the role
Conducts classroom instruction in laboratory, and field instruction in double entry and accrual accounting, operation of automated data processing equipment, to include the General Accounting and Finance System (GAFS) and its' sub-systems, computing military and civilian TDY and PCS vouchers to include Integrated Automated Travel Systems (IATS). principles of leave accounting, status and event transactions and allotment transactions, including procedures for Defense Joint Military Pay System (DJMS) and Defense Retiree Annuity System (DRAS). Researches, develops, maintains and updates lesson plans, instructional material, visual aids and course documentation for complete courses. Monitors and evaluates student progress and performance. Counsels students to help identify and resolve problems. Accomplishes special projects related to specialty area.
