Veterinary Medical Officer

Provide veterinary medical care, surgical care, and treatment to Military Working Dogs (MWDs), military horses, and other government-owned animals. Provides veterinary care and treatment to privately owned animals as part of a program designed to prevent privately owned animals. Provides routine care, surgery, examinations, and laboratory evaluations for the privately owned animals. Provides veterinary medical treatment and services in the DoD facilities to authorized personnel. Uses knowledge of regulatory health requirements required to advise on and make recommendations on transporting animals anywhere in the world.
