Victim Witness Assistant (OA)

The applicant selected for the St. Louis Office will serve as a Victim Witness Assistant performing duties such as: Providing information and assistance to victims that include crisis intervention resources, assistance in securing medical treatment for injuries, information on legal rights and resources available, emergency housing options, employment services and transportation assistance. Coordinating with local, state and Federal law enforcement agencies to assist victims with the return of their property being held as evidence or to obtain copies of reports needed for securing services and assistance from other programs (e.g. Crime Victim Compensation). Securing travel and lodging reservations for victims and witnesses at government rates, when needed. Establishing and maintains working files consisting of correspondence and reports pertinent tocases.
