Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor (Electric)

As a working Supervisor, the employee must have comprehensive knowledge of NIST's electrical systems, as well as elevator and mechanical hoisting equipment, and be proficient in their repair and maintenance. In this position, the employee will: - Review and prioritize work assignments (e.g., M Slips, Work Orders, preventive maintenance instructions) to determine scope, complexity, and resource needs. - Coordinate and assign work to personnel, ensuring alignment with other ongoing projects and shop activities. - Consult with the General Foreman's Office or Operations Engineering Group to resolve unforeseen issues, errors, or changing requirements. - Conduct site visits to assess job conditions, determine appropriate work methods, and develop special instructions as needed. - Coordinate Electric Shop activities with other trades to support efficient, multi-craft project execution. - Ensure timely execution and follow-up of both major and minor work assignments. - Exercise sound judgment
