About the role

As a Social Worker, you will serve in a detention facility staffed by ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC), providing care for detainees in ICE Custody. IHSC has a multi-sector, multidisciplinary workforce of more than 900 employees, including commissioned corps officers of the U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS), Federal civil employees, and contract staff. IHSC also provides medical support during ICE enforcement operations in the air, on the ground and at sea. You will perform the following duties: Provide comprehensive case management through written and oral communication with patients and with members of interdisciplinary teams. Perform counseling for individuals, groups, couples and families with substance abuse problems, providing relapse prevention training, motivational interviewing strategies, and crisis intervention counseling when needed.
