About the role
Manages projects in the Eastern Service Area across multiple program areas that deal with, but are not limited to, the long-term restoration, replacement, sustainment, and hardening of NAS facilities impacted by hurricanes and other natural disasters. Plans for and manages projects within Unstaffed Infrastructure Sustainment (UIS) program in assigned geographic areas. Works with Field Incident Response team during and after natural disasters and utilizes engineering and technical expertise to create a list of facility impacts and develop an initial implementation plan. Assigns all projects to Service Center Groups and Engineering Services associated with the implementation plan. Makes tactical decisions during implementation of programs to stay within scope, schedule, and cost. Incumbent applies experience and comprehensive knowledge of general engineering principles, theories and concepts to: Manage engineering, construction, installation, training, backfill overtime, airspace changes
