OUTDOOR RECREATION SPECIALIST

The purpose of this position is to plan, develop, conduct and evaluate, to include budgeting, training, and recruiting, recreational programs intended to improve readiness, contribute to high morale, build cohesion and esprit de corps for all authorized patrons. Within overall plans, initiates both new and recurring activities on a regular basis for implementation in a monthly program schedule consistent with established techniques and theories of recreation. Aggressively markets programs using both traditional and innovative marketing strategies. Contacts various members of the military and volunteers to assist in the execution of programs. Identifies needs, prepares and submits operating budget for programs to the Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC) Director, orders and receives program supplies and equipment.
