About the role
As a Human Resources Specialist, you will: Perform a variety of recruitment and staffing work pertaining to the competitive, excepted, and Senior Executive Service, such as providing consultations to managers on best strategies to recruit/retain workforce; create job analyses/hiring assessments, develop vacancy announcements; determine qualification analysis and veterans' preference when applicable; issue certificates of referral for pay setting. Serve as a Human Resources consultant applying an extensive knowledge and expert understanding of federal human capital management and agency policies, principles, laws, regulations and procedures to perform assignments of unusual scope and difficulty. Analyze a wide range of scientific, engineering; professional, administrative, technical and clerical positions related to the competitive, excepted and Senior Executive Service and applies OPM and DEMO classification policies and standards to determine appropriate classification.
