Job Description   The SDET's responsibilities include writing automated tests and focuses on the testability, robustness, and performance of software. As such, an SDET is a test professional with programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks, and add to the ever- growing suite of regression tests, and tests required for promoting from lower to higher environments.  To be successful as an SDET, you should have excellent time management and organizational skills as well as effective communication skills.
