Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

Designated as the Cognizant Security Authority (CSA) for Special Access Program (SAP) operations under the NASA SAP Coordinating Official (SAPCO). Oversees security management and execution of security policies/requirements for NASA SAP programs. Works with Government Program Managers to develop, implement, and enforce security programs that protect all facets of SAP. Provides security subject matter expertise and nationwide oversight to ensure compliance with established policies/procedures. Provides nationwide oversight to SAP Security Officers (GSSO) and Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO) supporting NASA mission efforts. Conducts or verifies that NASA sponsored SAPFs are properly inspected for security compliance. Applies risk management principles to SAP security architectures and environments.
