Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Perform donor prerequisite assessment including medical histories, physical examinations, laboratory testing on hematology analyzers, venous access and determining overall blood donor (allogeneic, autologous, therapeutic, and apheresis) suitability. Evaluate and select potential blood donors on the basis of experience and clinical judgment and must carefully explain reasons for deferral to such donors. Complete Apheresis Plasma and Platelet collections on suitable donors, monitoring donor and procedures for complications and responding appropriately. Conduct and review Quality Control and Preventive Maintenance on a daily basis and as required on equipment and instrumentation used. Perform lot review and lot release of blood components
