One to One Aide/SCIA (Special Circumstance Instructional Assistant)

*SCIA/One to One Aide (San Diego)* A small, private special education school is interviewing SCIAs (special circumstance instructional assistants)/1:1 Aides to fill open positions. We are seeking a dynamic, creative individual who can work effectively with our diverse group of students. Please refer to our website, www.aseltine.org, for more details about our school. The applicant: 1. Who has a four year degree or who has completed two years of study at an institution of higher education is preferred but not required. 2. Who has previous working experience with students in special education with emotional disturbances is preferred. 3. Who is bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. 4. Should possess a clear, valid California driver's license and meet the requirements of SB-88 (Medical Clearance Certification and First Aid Certification). 5. Should clearly and effectively communicate; possess strong organizational and computer skills; and demonstrate effective interpersonal skills.
