About the role
As a Meteorologist, you will perform the following duties: As an Outlook/Mesoscale Forecaster, work as a senior forecaster as part of a shift team that is responsible to the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) Lead Forecaster for the quality and timeliness of analysis and forecast products. Conduct a continuous weather watch for the preparation and issuance of SPC severe weather discussions and outlooks. Serve as SPC's staff specialist on mesoscale analysis for the development of severe weather public awareness programs.
