About the role
Responsible for supporting select multi-Service/Agency programs managed at a regional or national level. Exercises control over the supply and distribution of assigned items, based on overall program goals. Generates long-term and short-term purchase requests and stock transport orders. Establishes priorities to ensure maximum and efficient utilization within available fund limitations. Leads or is part of technical evaluation team; evaluating contractor proposals for adequacy, completeness, and compliance with terms and conditions of the solicitation. Applies comprehensive knowledge of inventory management policies and understanding of the supply management process in performing independent analyses and resolution of highly complex issues and problems in the assigned areas of responsibility.
