Market Data Analyst

Performs at an expert level developing reports and analytic tools to monitor and improve data quality and reporting compliance. The incumbent will often lead efforts under the direction of the Associate Director, Deputy Director or Director to identify the specific analyses needed for these reports and tools and then complete the work either independently or as part of a team. Independently analyzes the most complex and highly sophisticated data and trends, and prepares responses to data quality inquiries, presentations, and briefings for Branch and CFTC leadership to address compliance, completeness, consistency and quality of the Commission's core data collections. Analyzes participating firms' position, ownership and control data and a wide variety of swaps, futures and other derivatives data by monitoring the reports filed by exchanges, futures commission merchants (FCMs), traders, Swap Data Repository (SDR), Swap Execution Facility (SEF), and resolves reporting problems.
